Thekkady, the popular picnic spot at Idukki, Kerala, is all set to attract more travelers with both its fascinating natural beauty and newly added facilities. Three more boats are being built to facilitate more travelers to explore this enchanting destination better. Each boat will have a capacity to accommodate as many as 80 people. With the introduction of new boats, 800 more people can take boat trips through the Periyar Lake. Every year, more than half a million tourists visit Thekkady and Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.
