Kerala Tourism has started an initiative to collect the details of all institutions, small and large, which provide lodgings for native and foreign tourists. The data thus acquired will be included in the official website of Kerala Tourism. The data collection work will be done by the Department of Economics and Statistics. Mr. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, Minister for Tourism, has requested the support of all those connected with tourism sector in this matter.
The preliminary data collection will begin from July 25 and conclude by August 14. Dr. Venu, V., Secretary, Kerala Tourism, said that the best use of Information Technology will be utilized in this initiative. With this, an aspiring traveler to Kerala can easily have access to the details of all the service providers in the state, he added.
